Delta teams up with JA Europe to support innovation skills of young people

11 July 2018

Delta Air Lines has announced a new partnership with Junior Achievement (JA) Europe as part of JA Worldwide to further Delta's Community Engagement goals of advancing education of young people and providing them with the tools to succeed in the business world.

Delta will sponsor the upcoming 29th JA Europe Company of the Year Competition in Belgrade, Serbia, July 16-19. This event is the annual celebration of the JA Company program which encourages young people aged 15-19 to develop business skills by setting up and running a real business during an academic year. They make all the decisions, from the company name and product, to creating a business plan, managing finances and selling products.

As one of the European Signature partner for the competition, Delta will present the Delta Innovation Award. A special jury with Delta representatives will evaluate the 39 competing student companies and present the award to the team that best exhibit Innovation in their business.

The Award will be presented by Shane Spyak, Delta’s Staff Vice President – EMEAI Sales and Board Member of JA Europe during a gala ceremony at Bel Expo Center Belgrade on the evening of 18th of July.
