Award criteria

  1. IT driven innovation (40%): Has the company demonstrated innovative use of ICT (mobile technology, Collaboration Tools, Cloud based technology, Internet of Things or Internet of Everything) in their product or services? Is their product innovative and creative?
  2. Business potential and sustainability (30%): The vision and goals for the development of the business over the next years. Demonstrate that the solution represents sufficient business potential to justify the investment efforts and the risks to be taken. Show concrete steps have been taken to becoming a real and sustainable business.
  3. Viable & Scalable Business (30%): Realistic & practical, fulfils a need/recognize market gap, creates a new market

Peter Daly
Vice President, Global Service Management, AT&T
Peter Daly Peter joined AT&T in March 2007 as the Customer Services General Manager in support of the EMEA business, before transitioning on assignment to the US in 2011 to lead the Service Management team supporting  the Financial Services Signature Client Group. From May 2012 he had operated in support the Executive Vice President of Global Customer Service as the Executive Director – Chief of Staff and Program Management. Since September 2014, in the role of Vice President, he leads Global Enhanced Customer Service Management teams located in 30 countries across 4 regions.
Peter has 25 years of management and leadership experience, 14 of these within the telecoms industry. Following a decade with the British military, Peter chose to pursue a civilian career, which started in Chase Manhattan Bank’s project management team. Peter subsequently entered the technology sector as an account manager with Avaya’s (then Lucent Technologies) Value Added Reseller channel in London, UK. Here he was instrumental in securing new business opportunities and winning major bids for voice solutions, particularly in the City’s niche legal market.
On joining WorldCom’s Global Accounts segment in October 2000, Peter initially assumed responsibility for the front office implementation teams in EMEA.
On joining AT&T in 2007, Peter served as the Customer Service General Manager in EMEA with responsibility for the customer experience across a broad portfolio of AT&T’s global managed services clients before taking up his assignment in the United States in support of AT&T’s financial services clients.
Peter also serves as the executive sponsor of AT&T’s Aspire Mentoring Academy in EMEA which fosters and encourages high school students to stay in education and acquire skills pertinent to the work place. Aspire is currently active with AT&T in 11 locations outside the USA.
In addition to his commercial, customer relationship and leadership skills, Peter holds an Honours Degree in History & Political Science (BA Hons) from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, and a Diploma in Financial Management (DipFM) with the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He is a member of the UK’s Institute of Directors (IoD). When not at work, he enjoys running, outdoor pursuits and history.
Ruth Agyei 
Community Engagement Lead EMEA, Aspire Program, AT&T
Ruth Agyei Since late 2012 Ruth has been the Regional Lead on the Community Engagement Program under the Chairman’s Aspire initiative. The goal of this program is to encourage students to successfully complete school and to pursue further education and careers by providing them mentoring in critical 21st century work skills, academic support and connecting the importance of learning . 

She has developed and supported links with local schools and spearheaded a team of 30 volunteers to work in collaboration with Junior Achievement an Educational charity to run Workshops supporting the curriculum at one of the local schools. Ruth has led the expansion of the EMEA Aspire Program which now exists in Belgium, Boblingen, Bratislava, Brno, Den Haag, Havant, India, Kosice, London, Paris, Redditch and Tel Aviv.  

Ruth joined AT&T in 2007 as an Executive Assistant to the VP, EMEA.  She worked for three years supporting the Sales function in EMEA and moved to Service Management in 2012.

She has an interesting and varied background spanning Banking and Finance worked at Chase JP Morgan, Barclays and SVC as a Relationship Manager for over a decade.  She has spent time abroad working for the British Government.  Passionate about education and youth work, Ruth spends what spare time she can find supporting the Youth in her local community.  

Ruth has postgraduate qualifications in Management from the Henley MBA College and Warwick University.  She also holds a BA in Business Management and is a Qualified Teacher. 


Jonathan Moore
Senior Employee Communications Manager, AT&T EMEA 
Jonathan joined AT&T in 2015 to lead internal communications and employee engagement across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
He has more than 30 years of experience in media and communications, starting his career in the mid-1980s as a trainee journalist on a local weekly newspaper. He later moved into broadcasting and then back into print, editing an award-winning weekly title before joining the UK’s biggest selling regional daily newspaper, The Press & Journal, as Assistant Editor.
Jonathan joined global PR company Weber Shandwick in 2007, before moving into a senior corporate communications role in the oil and gas industry.
He is married and has two sons, one a recent graduate and the other still studying at university.
